Glossary of Terms v16

Hello all,

I need to compile a Glossary of Terms for new users - I just wanted to check in and see if one exists for v16 before starting from scratch.

Thanks!

  • Hey Francis,

For v16 changes alone the Whats New is a good place to start.  Most of the updates are in the first entry or first paragraph of an entry. Memberships is a good (and sizable) example  https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v160/TN-Application/v16/Whats-New-Intro.htm

A Glossary of Terms is part of our Data Governance structure, in our Data Strategy. I think all that stuff will be a continuous work in progress - a Living Document.  Creating documentation is tough especially across an organisation with a broad spread of processes.

For current terms can ease the load to crowd source that to end users. It's a fair way of getting a temperature check on the digital maturity across the teams with questions like:

    1. What are some key technical terms context and meaning that you wish you knew when you started?
    2. What are some terms that you wish you knew what they meant? (shame free zone - eg: I still don't know what soft credits mean)

Shame free info space is important. How many times have I wanted to stop a fast paced meeting to roll back on an acronym? At this stage its probably less work to count the ones this didn't happen in.
