I am dreaming up new and exciting uses for Dynamic lists these days. Mostly as a way to give the users more power to get the data they need. (Selfishly, this means they won't be calling me).
Can I make a date criteria in a list relative? What I'm shooting for is the ability to schedule reports which use dynamic lists such that each time the list re-generates, I'm getting contributions for the previous 12 months beginning with the day that the list is regenerated.

Absolutely. See section 2.C.1 on page 8 of the Criteria Sets document for details. Also Example 6 on page 23 demonstrates using a dynamic list with relative dates.
