Is anyone using Tessitura, either with TNEW or a custom website, to post volunteer opportunities and to allow volunteers to sign up for available volunteer shifts, and then to check in volunteers for their shifts upon arrival? If so, I'd love to learn more about how your organization has set that up and how it's working for you.
I'm imagining the possibility of using performances for volunteer roles, using tickets to limit the number of openings available, and using the same tickets to check volunteers in at the beginning of their shifts. If there are easier or better ways to do this, please share your thoughts.
Thanks!
there was an old TLCC presentation (or something) where someone used Tessitura On The Go to have volunteers sign in and select shifts. It was super neat. Someone will chime in with the link, I'm sure.
Have you tried Resource Scheduling and the Tessitura on the Go > My Schedule?

Thanks for the links, Heath!
I've really been wanting to try this and it's been living in my head. Let me know how you go
I remember a presentation from years ago. I'm pretty sure it was Arena Stage (and I might be blurring the details here), but I was so impressed with it. They had added a section to their seat map that was how many volunteers they needed for any given performance and then they used a MOS shift triggered by a ranking for their volunteers that when they logged in, they could see those allocated seats and "sign up." And, if I'm not mistaken, they could "exchange" those tickets somehow as well. It was slick and kept them from having to build additional performance since it lived in the actual show.
