Hey everyone,
Unfortunately, Naomi, I’m not answering your question about your BCP error importing orders. I’m adding my own.
All of a sudden, I’m getting an error similar to Naomi’s while attempting to EXPORT a file using the NCOA utility. Mine says:
SQLState = S1000, Native Error = 0
Error = [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]Unable to open BCP host data-file
Return value from stored procedure AP_BCP_FILE: -109
When I check the procedure, there is no info on what an error of type -109 is.
HALP!

Rey,
I had that error sometime ago doing data conversion. What I did to resolve it was create a blank text file in the output file path name whatever your export is named i.e. export.txt, ran the job again and it updated that file with the data I needed.
Thank you and have a great day!

Thanks, Naomi. Turns out that there was something strange going on with our permissions, which our IT Director has since fixed. But I appreciate the advice! I hope Ryan was able to resolve your issue.

Do you happen to know what was wrong with your permissions on this? I am having the same issue and as far as I can see the permissions are fine, so was wondering if you could perhaps point me in the right direction.
Thanks,Caryl
Hey Caryl,
Did you ever resolve your permissions problem with this BCP output error?
Thanks!
Frannie
I did resolve it, but have no idea what I did to fix it. I think it may have been something to do with the file name that I was trying to save too that was causing the issue - but I can't swear to it.
OK--I'm getting the same error with an import so I might start a new thread.
