Hello!
We are trying to find an admin tool to monitor our entire environment to minimize downtime.
Is it possible to write SQL codes to monitor the Tessitura report server, database server, credit card server, seat sever, and tessitura web server (API)?
If anyone else has done this could you please explain how you did it and with what?

I don't really know about monitoring from within SQL. We use Zabbix. Nagios is also another option. I am sure there are other open source monitoring tools out there. Zabbix can do email alerts and mail to different addresses or people depending on time of day or day of week. There is a definate learning curve but once it is set up it doesn't require any intervention. I haven't touched our zabbix server in 2 years and it still runs great.
