We're trying to streamline our usher scheduling process and before we look into purchasing software, I wanted to see if Tessitura already is capable of what we're looking for. Here is our wishlist:
Does anyone have experience with using Tessitura for any or all of these functions? If not, do you have any suggestions for software that might integrate?
following with interest - we are using artifacts for a lot of it (for reasons) but I'd love another option. Resource schedulings online avaliabilities have alwasy intrigued me.

Out of the box, not really. The tool built in Tessitura to handle some of these things is called Resource Scheduling, and you can find its documentation here:

Some of the items on your list might be able to be solved with some creativity (Posting sign-up events as performances in TNEW under a special MOS to allow web sign-up and provide inventory control, for instance), but fundamentally Resource Scheduling isn't, I think, designed to be front-facing for casual, irregular workers.

One of the good things about it is the ability of volunteers/docents etc to add themselves to a schedule online using Tessitura on the go (51 mins in). It also comes with reporting.

We originally had a custom screen in Tessitura that would allow us to manage volunteers before the Resource tab was available. But it required House staff to know more about Tessitura than how to run a Performance Seat Book report. So we switched over to Volgistics, Volunteer Management Software Solutions | Volgistics
It ticks most of your boxes however it does not integrate with Tessitura.
