I am in the Development department of a small org newly onboarded onto Tessitura; Admin responsibilities have not shaken down yet, so I'm just now discovering defect TNEXWEB-22822:
In version 7, an issue where if you made a higher level membership contribution followed by a lower level membership contribution your membership level was set to the lower one. This is fixed in v16.
I've been talking to Tessitura Support about this for over a month now, and they seem unable to tell me if this ONLY impacts the /donate dedicated contrib page, or if it ALSO impacts contributions made through One Page Giving OR Contribution add-ons to ticket orders.
I haven't noticed it happening with Ticket Add-on contributions, but it's hard to be sure. We don't have OPG accessible right now, but we are planning to re-activate it later this fall through end of year.
Does anyone have experience with this defect in RE: OPG or ticket add-ons? Unfortunately we are unlikely to migrate to v.16 before March.

Paul from the TNEW Product Team here. Thanks for your question. I will be sure we update the defect notes for TNEXWEB-22822 to make the defect more clear in what it affects. While One-Page Giving and the Donation Form on the Payment Page are both great options for accepting contributions on TNEW, they are not intended for memberships as the constituent may be a Guest when using either method. That having been said, if either are configured for memberships, this defect will still exist for any contributions made using One-Page Giving or the Donation Form on the Payment Page.

Thanks for this reply. I continue to observe this defect NOT impacting Contributions made through the Donation Form on the Payment Page, but on your advice I will continue checking all of them until we migrate to v16.
I am curious, is the fix in v16 a fix to the /donate/contribute1 page on TNEW? We use amount-first memberships, so a lot of the new Membership upgrades in v16 will not apply to us. I'm under the impression that the /donate/contribute1 page may be deprecated?
It is great to hear from you. In v16 the fix does apply to the Contribution Group pages. We do not have any plans to deprecate the Contribution Group pages in v16.
When the new Membership Detail pages support amount-first memberships (which is on the TNEW roadmap) it is likely that the Contribution Group pages will no longer support memberships, but that has yet to be determined.
