Hello!
First time trying to use the Constituent Import Utility and keep getting this error when trying to import in Tess: "Invalid Length Parameter passed to the left or substring function".
Relatively new to Tess here and not training in coding/SQL so not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any pointers/tips are appreciated. Thank you!
Maybe an out of compliance zip code? Possibly a hyphen in a +4 ?
I mean to say, in your import file.
Zip code is only 5 digits so not that unfortunately, but thanks!
Hi Mattew,
The constituent import utility can be tricky. Can you let me know which data fields in you are trying to import? Also, are you signed in using Windows Authentication? If so, it will cause the import to fail (gets me every time!).Best,Michelle
and also check for odd characters. Sometimes people put tabs and carriage returns etc in street fields and it throws a wobbley - you can check that a little more easily using Notepad++ rather than Word etc and turn on view all characters.

This is the first I'm hearing of this issue, good to know!
