Apologies if I've posted this to the wrong forum! I work in Development, but I thought this might get more traction here as it's a more technical question.
I've found information here about how to change the settings surrounding the default salutation within the system table, but our Development team uses a custom salutation for our mail, and I'm wondering if there is a way to add a custom salutation in bulk as well. For reference, we have our default salutation roughly set to "John and Jane Doe" (outside) and "Mr. and Mrs. Doe" (inside) but our custom salutation is "Mr. and Mrs. John Doe" (custom outside) and "John and Jane" (custom inside).
Most of our donors do already have the custom salutation, but when we send out mailings for our big campaigns, we include our non-donor ticket/subscription buyers, who don't have it, so I end up just manually changing it in excel once my list is exported. Anything I can do to avoid this?

There is a utility within Reports and Utlities titled Rebuild Salutations. This allows you to update a current salutation that exists on the constituent record. If you are just needing to update the records formatting of an existing salutation that rebuild salutations by list will do wonders. In the system table TR_SALUTATION_FORMAT, you can control how you want the salutation built.
Our organization had this utility customized to also add salutations to the record if the salutation type doesn't already exist there. So that is an option if you are able to do custom report work.
