Hello all,
This is my first post on the forum! We're winding down our implementation here and I need to get some SQL training. Does anyone have any recommendations of good SQL online courses or resources?
I hope to meet a lot of you at the conference!
Thanks!
Christina
I'm doing that too Christina with New Horizons here in San Diego. They have Mentored Learning which is self paced and you can choose when you want to attend. In addition, the SQL Visual Quickstart Guide is VERY useful.

Hi Christina
We use New Horizons here in Sydney quite a lot as well. We like their self-paced and flexible approach.
Another good resource online is SQL Central - lots of helpful hints and question and answer stuff from sql mavens..

Hi Christina,
Welcome to the SQL Club!
These links are good for courses or how to's:
http://www.sqlcourse.com/
http://www.sqlcourse2.com/intro2.html
http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/sql-training/
http://www.sqlcommands.net/sqltrainingpreparation.php
These links are good forums and help with tips, syntax, and problem solving:
www.sqlcentral.com
http://www.sqlmonster.com/

Books Online is a great resource as well, and all of these resources are free.
I also recommend these books; Sams Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Unleashed or the MCITP SQL Server 2005 Database Administration by Gibson.
Happy Coding!!

Thumbs up for New Horizons as well. I took 2778 at a distance learning classroom at 13th & E downtown and it was exactly the thing to put all this self-teaching I've been doing over the past several months in the right order in my brain.
For dead-tree materials, O'Reilly's SQL in a Nutshell (3rd ed.) has been indispensable. It gives equal time to four SQL flavors alongside the ANSI standard, but it's exhaustive and really well organized.
Thanks everyone!
