I'm working on some donor data cleanup, inputting a list of updated constituent information into their individual records. It's purely a matter of copy, paste, repeat. However, some fields will accepted data copied directly as a cell like the search fields. Other fields like Display Name for example, require that I actually go into the cell contents and select/copy the data individually before I can paste it. If you just copy and past the cell it does nothing. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to which fields allow this and which do not.
Does anyone know if there is a work around for this, or if it is a known issue? It seems like a minor thing, but when you're working with +1000 records, the extra step adds a significant amount of time.
Same issue. I now copy from the formula bar instead of double-clicking into the cell; marginally quicker, but still a pain.
It's super inconsistent where Tess will let you paste. Hopefully this is addressed in v16.
