We are balancing various streaming options and we'd be interested to hear from anyone who's used Brightcove with L2's Stream2 integration, specifically in a consortium environment. If there are any pitfalls we haven't considered about distinct organizational logins or setups or whatever, we'd love a heads up, as well as any glowing reports.
We are not on TNEW. We are a sub-licensee selling our tickets through the licensee's website (box office phone call sales primarily in licensee user group). We are also interested in possibly embedding sales forms on our own, separate website.
Thanks!
Hi John, Lyric is using Brightcove with Stream2, we are in a consortium but our consortium partners are not using Brightcove/Stream2. We've been using it over the 21/22 season and have been happy with both products. Let me know if you have any questions I can answer.
Jessica, Thanks for offering. We are currently trying to figure out the best way to handle dedicated group viewings of past shows. So these would not be on sale to public, just a special arrangement for a school or organization. My original thinking was to have the performance date in Tessitura the end of our FY and control access just via special page url, but there might also be advantages to set up distinct performances in Tessitura. Once we have an archive of performances in place, we might want to have a special production season for "archival' or 'special purpose.' Is Lyric handling anything like this already?
We are doing something similar. If you're using Brightcove with Stream2 there are actually several options for restricting access with or without Tess. The easiest way is with a constituency code in Tess, if the account has the access constituency, you have access to the stream. You can also restrict access via date settings and links in Stream2 itself, and the perf date in Tess doesn't matter. Let me know if you have any further questions. Stephen Lynch at L2 has also been immensely helpful with specific set up questions, and is very open to enhancement requests.
