I'm sure most of us that use PrintAtHome are aware of the issues some (usually older) Macs seem to have with the PDFs the PAH subsystem generates. I'm just wondering if anyone can fill in more details about exactly what this issue is? A PDF font embedding issue? Something else? I'm a Mac user at home myself, and am itching to know the specifics...
Thanks.
I'm not sure of the exact details but I thnk it is to do with Fonts. In the documentation for Print at Home there is a section about a Font Fix for Macs. I think it is also covered in the PAHT webinar too.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I've seen that fix, and am wondering why exactly that fix would be required. Before this issue, I've not encountered a PDF that the typical Mac can't handle, which leaves me wondering - what is it about these PAH PDFs that is so unusual?
Hi Chris,
I don’t know the exact technical nature of the problem, but I do know it wasn’t a Mac thing, just the default Mac PDF reader. If you were using the Adobe PDF viewer on a Mac there was not a problem.

Hi,
I've created a PAH ticked and am using the font fix for Mac override in the config file.
This works fine except that the field alignment that I have set in the PDF is ignored.
I've set a few of the fields such as the show title to 'center' but when I use the font fix these get left aligned.
Anyone know how to keep the alignment when using the Mac font fix?
thanks,
Dara
