Hi all,
We have some Zebra TC52 devices for N-Scan. Unfortunately some third-party digital barcodes which we need to scan and have already been issued, have a letter at the end of the barcode which is a unique identifier to the ticket holder - we won't have any visibility of this letter until it is scanned. The supplier cannot include this letter in their file .
eg.
123456789012345678 - what will be sent to us for import and matched to a Tessitura ticket number
123456789012345678a - what will appear on the scanner
Has anyone successfully configured their device to remove non-numerical characters when scanning? I've tried poking around the Datawedge profile and played around with rules/criteria/actions (in particular, configuring any 19 character barcodes to drop the last character), however it still seems to scan with the letter at the end.
Thanks,
Stefanie
Good job!
The only other solution that I could think of was to scan the ticket, go to the end of the scan string, backspace 1 character, OK button. My idea would’ve been really annoying to the staff.
