Adding pledge after gift

Sorry for this basic question, but is there a way to add a pledge after a payment has been received and then apply that payment to the pledge (without adjusting?)

    Hi Jennifer,

    the only way I have done this is to return the monies to credits and redo the contribution as a pledge, adding notes to in each contribution.

    I do suggest whatever route you take to process in the test environment first and post the batch to ensure everyone is happy with the changes.
