Dashboards Export

Is there a way to export more than 1 dashboard at a time?  Looking to backup all custom dashboards.

Thanks

  • Hi Scott,

Yes, with a caveat. Please consider whether downloading a single file, or a file per Dashboard Folder will be the best result for you. When exporting/importing in this manner, folder structure is NOT preserved. It may be easier to export all the dashboards to a single file and then import them all into the root, especially if this is a just-in-case backup. If you choose to export a file per folder, you can name the file the folder name, and then on import, create the folder first, and from the options menu for that folder, import the dashboard file.

  • Hi Chris,

Thanks for this information. We would like to export all of the custom dashboards into a single file. But I am only seeing the dashboards that was created by me or shared with me on the side bar. Is there a way to export all of the custom dashboards including the ones that I don't have access to? I am logged in as a system administrator.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

  • You can back them all up in a mongo database.

  • Hi Lisa,

As a self-hosted organization, you have access to backup/restore the entire mongodb that stores your Analytics dashboards, subscriptions, pulse alerts, and favorited formulas and filters. Look in the TIM installation files under \TessituraInstaller\Components\TessituraAnalytics\BackupScripts\ for documentation and sample scripts.

If your goal is to migrate your dashboards to a new Analytics server, please contact Support for instructions.

  • Chris we had an issue when we updated Dev from SP2 to SP14, all the custom dashboards were gone post upgrade. Updating live on Monday and want to protect ourself from this happening again.

    Thanks
