Reporting and Multiple pmaps

I'm hoping someone can remind me, I have a memory that if you have a pricetype with multiple pmaps with category "tickets", this will affect certain reports, basically double counting seats, one for each "ticket" pmap.

First, have I got that right? Second is this only true if the pmaps in question have overlapping dates? Or is it true regardless of start/end dates? Or is it differently true depending on what report we're talking about?

  • Amanda - There are definitely some reports that will report double if you have overlapping pmaps with the ticket category. If they are not overlapping you'll be fine for those same reports.

Let me know if you want specific reports that will double count. I'd have to go scrounge around a bit to get a list.

  • Cool, thanks. My main concern was whether it'd affect those without overlapping dates.

  • One that I would pay attention to is that you don’t have more than ONE price map marked Base on a performance in the Ticket Price Category.  The date periods are not considered when using the base price, as there really only ever is one “base price” on a performance.
