Hello,
We are starting to work on implementing new EMV devices (Move5000s) and wondered what other companies are doing about their EMV devices/credit card entry while so many employees are working from home. Since the workplace has changed so much over this past year, we are starting to wrestle with the question of how EMV devices and credit card entry for remote employees will be handled from a policy perspective. Since our goal is to be in P2PE Only mode the question of employees needing to enter credit cards remotely is not so much a question of if as when.
We're also looking at the question of whether the point to point encryption offered by the devices is sufficient protection so that they could be connected to home WIFI or if we need to offer a more robust solution.
We'd love to talk to anybody who has already dealt with this question and hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
Jeff
Hi Jeff. I implemented our remote P2PE solution for the Mondavi Center at UC Davis. I also worked with our campus cybersecurity team to set up our solution and document it. I'm happy to set up a phone call to answer any questions you have, and I can also share some of our documentation. My schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT. You can reach me at smherrera@ucdavis.edu
Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for reaching out! I will email you so we can set up a time to connect. I greatly appreciate your willingness to discuss this with us!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
