We have Bocas using Generic/Text only drivers. Recent Windows updates are 'migrating' the printers to use a Boca driver instead of generic/text only. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to prevent this?
Hi Kate,
Were you able to find a solution to this issue? We are setting up our Boca on a Windows 10 computer for the first time and are having the same issue with the Boca driver. We have tried setting the driver back to the Generic/Text, but it still won't appear when we login to Tessitura.
Thanks,Brian
Hi Brian,
We used the technique described in this link.
https://mostechtips.com/how-to-stop-windows-10-automatically-installing-drivers/
Are you hosted? If so, I find that once the printer driver is changed back to generic/text only, you must start a new Citrix session. I believe the printers are assigned upon logging in to the hosting environment.
I also find that if you move the printer, it will always grab the boca fgl driver by default so I try not to move them.
Good luck,
Kate
