Promoting Sources After Extraction

Does anyone have information one why sources that are created during extraction can't be promoted after the fact?

Thanks,

  • Hi Emilie,

When you extract to a file, there isn't a list of constituents left in Tessitura that is connected to the sources you create. That connection to a list is what is used to promote sources from the Appeals screen. If you extract to a list, it is possible to promote sources at a later date, because a list is being created and connected to the source. Keep in mind, though, that when you extract to a list you are limited to one source for the entire extraction set (the one source per segment option isn't available).

We recently released a new series of video trainings on Extractions that you might find helpful. You can find it here: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Support/Training/Intro-Courses/Extractions
