12 Months ago the community came together to help poor old me with embedding the promo code into the link so I can make it easier for patrons so they don't have to enter it manually. It now appears that what I used last time doesn't work anymore. Did the TNEW upgrade make that ability disappear, is my embed wrong, is it because I'm using slugs?
Here is the code I am currently using: https://my.austinsymphony.org/asleepatthewheel/EventDetail.aspx?p=688&promo=AATW20
What is happening is that it might work, but if you click on the link again it will give you a:"This page isn’t working my.austinsymphony.org redirected you too many times.Try clearing your cookies.ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS"
It's a GA House.
Thank you everyone for your help. It's always greatly appreciated.

I believe the TNEW v7 links are different than the old version. The section of the help system is here.

Thank you for the reply. I'm still getting the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS message when I send a test message to my email. I simplified the URL to: https://my.austinsymphony.org/asleepatthewheel?promo=AATW20
I'm doing something wrong. ARRGGG!
Are you perhaps sending this through an email program like Wordfly?
We recently had a similar issue which was not previously the case but when we had 'use Tessitura tracking' Wordfly would add an additional &promo= URL parameter. Once we unchecked the Tessitura tracking option the link worked for us again.
Is this happening for all users on all systems? Sometimes that error really just means you need to clear your cookies.
We are using Wordfly! Let me try that. Thank you Thomas!
Yes. It's happening to all users.
If it's helpful at all, I've tried your new URL and it's working for me. If all of your other testing been via the Wordfly email link, that might narrow the issue down to that email?
It worked Thomas. "You truly are a wizard."
That's great to hear.
This didn't use to be an issue for us so I wonder if this might be a bug that has recently crept into TNEW?
I talked to Wordfly about it at TLCC last year and that was the suggested solution. Also a premove tag before your promo is recommended by moi
