'Invalid Credentials' on Client, but works on DB server.

Just finished our on-site install, everything went well, but strange issue we're having, logging into the client works on the DB server but not anywhere else.

I turned off the firewall on the DB server to test if that's the issue and same problem.

It pulls the User Group fine for users.  Also it lets me Change the password (and it actually changes), but not login, no matter what I've tried still 'Invalid Credentials'.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

  • Update:  I got one issue figured out from the app server logs - the client machines I was on didnt have a 'location' assigned to them.  Once I did that, I get a bit further, but then I hit this:

The user has successfully authenticated, but a database connection could not be opened. Contact your system administrator and provide this information for support.
    Invalid database credentials. [nvo_appsrv.connecttodatabase.11 (999)]

Still goes through fine on the DB server, just not other computers.  Any ideas?

I tried dropping and re-creating logins in the security program as well as resetting SQL logins, but I dont think it actually the credentials being the problem, since it logs in fine on the DB.

    Thank you,

    Mark

  • ODBC must be installed on all client machines if using their AD Credentials:
