I'm curious as to why the Membership Update Utility doesn't trigger off Ticket Donations ie: $ moved from returned Tickets to Contributions with in an Order?

Memberships will be added to constituent accounts if the fund's campaign is associated with a membership organization; this is true for order-based contributions that were paid through a ticket return. Once the membership is added, the Membership Update Utility should manage them in the same manner as any other membership.
If all of this isn't happening in your system, the first place I would check is whether the fund is connected to a membership campaign. Note that the Event Cancellation Utility cannot use a membership fund to process ticket return contributions in bulk.

Thanks Michael. It's the regular Fund and Campaign that the rest of the Memberships are tied to. You've given me something to think on though.
