Hi there
I am looking into creating 50 temp logins for customer records on our database with eaddresses for Web API testing, can anyone help with this?
Kind regards Ewan.
Hi Ewan,
Do the accounts have email addresses already?
We have a script that adds logins, but the accounts would need email addresses for it to work.

Hi Ewan
We used the test harness for API testing - available here - http://www.tessituranetwork.com/en/network/Products/Network%20Products%20Services/Web%20API%20Test%20Harness%20Application.aspx
It dynamically created all necessary users (with eaddress rows) as we scaled it up to test ever more concurrent web purchasers and worked very well for us. It is also very easy to use.
The advice in the documentation is to use on test Db and thats what we did. If you are using third-party web load-testing software then this may not be appropriate but we used it in conjunction with other load-testing.

Hi Richard,
Thansk for your post, I will look into the test harnes.
Regards Ewan.
Hi Suzanne
Thanks for your post, I have obtained a similar script and have been getting it all set up.
See you tomorrow at the Glyndbourne.
Suzanne,
I would love to get a copy of that script if you'd be happy to share. I have a group of about 2,500 existing accounts (that already have e-mail addresses) that I need to create logins for.
Have a great weekend!
Martin
Hi Martin
Just picked up on this thread and can forward you some scripts when I am back in the office.
