Infomaker Help

Hello everyone,

I've added a new column into a local table which I want to include in a custom tab but I'm having real trouble with Infomaker.  How do I add the column to the column specification?

Many thanks

Graeme

  • Right click within that window and choose "Append Row".  This is assuming that the column you added to the local table is at the end of the data set. The column order in Infomaker needs to match the column order of the data source.  So if you added the new column somewhere in the middle you will need to insert it in the correct sequence in Infomaker.

In either case, the options are all hidden behind the right click.

  • Thanks Levi,

But I don't get 'Append Row' as an option.  This is what the right click menu looks like in the column specification.

  • Hmm....  I'm guessing then that the report isn't based off of a stored procedure.  I haven't worked with many of these.  You might check under the Design>Data Source menu option.  I'm guessing you have a query there.  Does changing the query update your column specifications?

  • Thanks Levi,

I think I’ve solved it…  I actually think it’s partly cos I got confused between the test and live databases…  It’s been a long Tuesday.

    Thanks again
