We recently had a situation with our network (turned out to be a Comcast/firewall issue) wherein Tessitura was completely unreachable (we're not on RAMP) a couple hours before opening night. Luckily, our customer care department had a range of tickets pre-printed (for upgrades, etc) and we avoided a catastrophe, but it prompted the question, "What if we had no tickets available and no way to print them from Tessitura?" Has anyone developed any sort of backup plan in case of network failure wherein the show can effectively continue offline from a ticketing perspective? Obviously, NScan allows an offline mode, but I don't know of any sort of way to handle seat changes or other ticket-related operations, and we'd love to gather some best practice information if any is available...
Thank you, Tessiturians!
We have a Performance Seating Book and a House Map Print scheduled to run day of show that can be viewed via email, via cell phone if need be or printed. We have booklets for handwritten dupe tickets. We've sold off of the House Map Print before when the box office was black (with no duplicate seating issues). We have an old school credit card swiper and the slips for it. Good luck!
