Hello,
Our Consortium just got 3 new scanners and while we're trying to move files over we're hitting an error. It appears we aren't able to copy from unknown source ie anything that is not the app store.
Does anyone know where this setting is? I've looked in the documentation and Google and still not finding it.
Thanks,
Nathaniel
If you have an android, you can copy files over using a pc. You will have to tap the popup message on the device once it is connected to the Zebra. It asks what do you want to do? Select transfer files. The should be visible in file explorer.
Hi Nathaniel,
There's a setting in Android that you need to change (temporarily) to allow this:
On the Android device, allow app installs from non-Market apps in Settings >> Applications or Settings >> Security (depending on your device model). Activate the Unknown Source option then exit Settings.
After you make those changes, copy your files, and install N-Scan, it's recommended that you revert the security setting to prevent other apps from unknown sources from being installed.
You'll find more detailed information about this in Tessitura's N-Scan Installation Instructions.
