We're working on our v15.1.6 upgrade and I'm not finding any indication about a new security setting for Documents (New) radio button - does anyone know if it's just using the current Const Documents * security settings or is there a new security object for it?
Yes, there is a Const Custom RB object that will required permissions in the securities module.

It should not have changed in terms of the location, settings, from 15.x to 15.1.6 (as far as I know). Are you having trouble getting the radio to display?
It's a completely new radio button in 15.1.x. I cannot find the security object in Security and it is not available to some of our user groups. There is nothing in the 15.1.x documentation to indicate a new security object for this radio button, ie: it's not listed in the Upgrade Doc> New Security Objects.
There is a security object called 'Const Documents' which controlled security for the old Documents radio button. I have now just done a test and it also controls the Documents (New) radio button. However this is not documented.

The Const Documents security object is noted as controlling the Documents (New) screen in the Table of Security Objects help topic. I see though that it is not noted in the pop up you get when you right-click on that security object in the Security application. I'll pass that one to development to updated.
Just curious, though, where you were looking and not finding it (in case there is somewhere else we should be updating)?

Thanks Kevin! I was looking in the What's New in v15.1 document. I thought that there might have been a note added to the Documents (New) Screen area to indicate that the original security object controls security for this new one as well, or even a note in the Upgrade document under the 'Immediate Actions Post Upgrade' where New security objects are listed - just a note to say it's not new, but you may want to check it for access.
