I created a new constituency. I am in Security trying to give users groups access to the constituency. I want the users groups to have the same access they have to most of the other constituencies. There is no special security with the new group. Most of the existing users groups should access to these records.
Do I have to go through each security object in each user group to determine the access to Add, Edit , Delete and View? This seems to be a very arduous task when adding a constituency.
Please let me know if you have suggestion on how to address giving many users group access to a new constituency.
This depends on how you have your security set up. If you have most security objects set to (All Constituencies) then you don't need to do anything. On the Security Objects page, you can also select The Constituency button under View By to set security by constituency. Select your new constituency in the drop down and add security as necessary. It is time consuming so you might want to have both live and test security apps open at the same time to create the new one.
Yes, most of the security objects are set to All Constituencies. For example when I an logged in as admin I can see a constituent record with the new constituency. However when I re login in with the Executive user group. I cannot see the record with new constituency,
Seth, it sounds more like you perhaps have a control group on the constituency that's causing the issue?
