As part of our fledgling consortium's work towards a single data entry standard we have been discussing the definition of phone types associated to addresses (as opposed to phone types which have no affiliation with an address). Specifically I'm wondering about the Fax number.
Has anyone changed the purpose of this number? Is there anything fax-centric in Tessitura that would make it a good idea to leave this as a fax as opposed to making it (for example) a cell phone number?

Not the Fax number, but we long ago re-purposed "Phone 2" as "TTY", with no ill effects. I'm not sure why types 1-3 are required in TR_PHONE_TYPE, other than that the client wants to display those three in the general tab.
