Hey hey,
We have a co-pro that currently lives within the same season as our current season. I understand an easy solution to this question would be "just change the season," but I would like to keep it there for a number of internal reasons.
That being said, is it possible to control group at the production season level? All the VS_PROD secure views end up referencing VRS_SEASON - thus the only canned option is to control group at the season level. In order to combat this, I created a local table to match production seasons with control groups and created a secure view referencing that table. This solution has solved my drop-down parameter woes, but all performances are still showing up in House View.
Has anyone gotten around this with control group keywords or content types? My attempts have been unsuccessful. Also curious to hear if anyone knows the procedure that populates the House View..? Tweaking that would be a pretty dangerous move, but I'm trying to explore all options.
I hope someone can offer some guidance after Turkey Day!
Thanks, all!
Did you ever see if it also filtered by control grouped campaigns?
Mehhh.. This does not work. Per my testing and reviewing the documentation, this is only checked against the Campaigns module, anything living in the constituent record associated to said campaign and Reminders. :(
Ah well.
I would certainly investigate an alternative for whatever benefit you're deriving from keeping the events in the same season before trying to hack House View...
Ha. Yes. Agreed. Going to continue brainstorming on Monday - We may have to resort to a new season and tweak other (less sensitive) components to make it work in our environment.
We do this extensively, both for outside presenters and for breaking up events within our own organization, so let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! I’ll ping you on Slack next week!
