Hello People of Tessitura!
We are beginning to build our new website and our web developers need back end access to Tessitura to build our TNEW pages which I heard takes an Act of Congress. I want to know where to begin to get that access? Thank you for any information.

Hi Jason -
This is Patrick from Support writing. I'll open a ticket for you to get this started.
Thanks,Patrick
I think we may need to clear up some terms. TNEW (Tessitura Network Express Web) is a fully functional e-commerce site package for Tessitura. If you have TNEW (an add-on to Tessitura), then you already have a website, and technically, you have all the website you need to promote and sell performances and subscriptions and solicit contributions online. You just need to configure it.
Now, many organizations maintain a separate site specifically for promoting their events (we do this: https://calperformances.org/), which links in to TNEW (for us https://secure.calperformances.org/) to perform the actual sale. While it can be nice to use Tessitura to assist in building out a separate promotion site, it's not strictly speaking necessary. And as I said before, you can do a lot of basic promotional stuff just with the base TNEW site.
If you need to create custom functionality or pages in TNEW, that can technically be done entirely within Tessitura (at least creating SQL code in SQL Server Management Studio). We have a number of customizations built in this fashion.
Finally, if you are building your own E-Commerce site (warning, wildly more expensive than TNEW), or if you want to build hooks into Tessitura for a separate promotion site, then your developers need access to your Tessitura API, which is something your organization provides (no Act of Congress necessary). If you are a RAMP customer, then it is a matter of putting in a support ticket to get started (copy your developers, if they are not part of your organization, so that they can communicate directly with the Tessitura staff).
Lastly, if they have not already, your developers will want to check out this page:
