Sorry if this has been asked previously, but my contact person in Development has asked how often we should run the Membership Update Utility report. I know that we could theoretically run it whenever we wanted, but for the sake of efficacy she was thinking more like quarterly would be ideal, as opposed to monthly. We try to have all memberships coincide with the production year (or FYEAR, as Tessitura would put it) for whatever that's worth. I told her I'd come to the forums and do a little crowdsourcing.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance, as always, Tessiturians.
BONUS (BELATED) YEAR-RELATED TRIVIA: Easter Day is the Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox (March 21st). If there’s a full moon actually on the equinox, Easter is the next Sunday.
We run ours monthly on the first. Our memberships have rotating expiration dates...anyone can become a member at any time and it expires 1 year from the sign up. So there are memberships expiring every month. How often do your memberships expire?
Really it depends on how you use Membership. We use Membership Expiration as an ANNIVERSARY date to drive the annual campaign solicitations - so we schedule the utility to run weekly.
We've taken on a system of annual rolling memberships, so we run the utility nightly as there are memberships created and expiring nearly every day.
We do the same.

We also run the membership update nightly.
