Our Development department wants to be able to pull a list and output contact info for a specific Contact Point Purpose. If someone does not have a specific contact point (email, address, etc.) in that purpose they want that field blank. They do not want it filled in with the constituent's default data (otherwise I would have them use standard Tessitura functionality).
I made an output group that pretty much worked, but I found some constituents that were missing certain contact points when they were marked with the purpose. These situations are happening where the household is being pulled on the list, but the contact point only lives on one of the individual records associated with the household. I tried pulling these through standard Tessitura functionality and it also did not pull there. When setting up the contact point purposes on a household it definitely looks like you should be able to use contact points that live on the individuals, so I am wondering if I am missing something, or if this really just doesn't work. Does anyone know? If it just doesn't work has anyone found a way around it, or do we just need to change the way we are entering these?
Hi, Amber. Did you ever find an answer to your question? I am looking at creating an output set for contact purposes also, but hesitant if the resulting output isn't going to be useable without a lot of manual review. Thanks!

Remember that there is going to be a complication with an output set for Contact Point Purposes. Output Sets are related to constituents, but Contact Point Purposes are related to specific Contact Points (Addresses, Eaddresses, Phones). Your Output Set isn't going to be able to tell you which Contact Point the Purpose is for. To establish that connection I think you are going to need a report of some kind.
