New ticket design - no fonts available

Hi

We are in the process of changing our ticket stock so I need to create new ticket templates based on the new size. I have created the ticket - type: Boca, max rows 600, max cols1100 - however when I go in to add data elements and text there is nothing in the Font dropdown. I have looked in the System table T_FONT and they're all there as usual. This is happening on the Production and Testing clients.

Any clues?

  • Hi Siobhan,

I was just writing this up for a new document this week.  You cannot add a new printer type (or more accurately you can add it but you can’t use it).  If the size of your ticket stock has changed you can edit rows and columns on the existing printer type.  Those values a really just defaults not limits, so changing them won’t do anything other than make any new designs default to that size.  Any existing ticket designs you want to use will have to be edited individually, or copied and edited.   Also note that, while technically you can have different designs for different ticket sizes, it isn’t very practical to use designs for more than one ticket size at the same time.  The only way it can work is if you only print tickets for one of the sizes from batch ticket printing, which allows you to select the right design for that ticket size at the time of printing.
