We are new to Tessitura; currently in the process of implementation and going live in early December. We are shopping for scanners and are comparing the Zebra TC20s and TC51s. We operate five performing arts venues in the city, and will be looking to outfit each with their own allotment. Our scanning personnel are all volunteers, so user friendliness as well as dependability and overall solid performance are factors.
Does anyone have experience in using both units and be able to provide some comparisons on performance and make any recommendations? Or does anyone has familiarity with each product, and would be able to share their overall thoughts and feedback based on their own usage?

I cannot give you anything whatsoever on the TC20s as I have zero experience with them, but we love our TC51s. We went out with four brand new TC51s two years ago, and we liked them so much we replaced the other nine scanners with TC51s last year. And aside from occasional general Wi-Fi connectivity issues, which is more to do with our building and the access point locations than the scanners, we have had few to no complaints about them. And you can use the enterprise home screen software to lock them up pretty tightly, too, so that the volunteers do not get into trouble messing with things that they should not be either.
