Hello!
I'm hoping to get our Interest fields/checkboxes into Output Sets so that we can see if constituents in our lists have these fields selected or not. A column for each Interest with a simple binary output (not terribly concerned about how this displays in the output, as long is there is something that indicates if the box is checked on the record - could be a simple 0/1 or Y/N or the field being populated vs NULL) would be perfect. Has anyone successfully set this up?
Thanks!
Lauren
Hi, Lauren,
If you want to maintain one Output row per customer, with just all of the columns, you would need an output element for each interest specifically. Are you using v14 or v15 (with the new "Output Element Group" table?) Let me know; I'm happy to help.
Hi Mindee,
We are on v15. I think ideally I'd like an output element for each interest specifically. Our digital team is hoping to use these fields to generate some dynamic content in their emails at some point, so outputting all of the potential interests might be beneficial.
I sent you a message with my less-than-eloquent "documentation" for this - let me know if you have any issues or questions.
My I also get a copy of your documentation?

Thank you!
There is an approach covered in the outputs set cookbook v14.1 for dealing with the getting one row for something that would normally produce multiple rows. The actual cookbook file can be found here. On page 13 - 14 there is a method to work around this fore constituency codes. On this post a few months ago I described a way to do this with Attributes. You might be able to extend the approach to Interests. Lauren Gruber if you work something out, please let the rest of us know what end up working for you.
It's less "documentation" than a jumbled sort of how-to but sure
Hi would you mind sharing it with me as well? afharris@sfmoma.org
