Non Primary email addresses in On-the-Go

Hi all,

Has anyone found a way to pull different email types into the Constituent screen for On the Go, rather than just the primary email? We're a consortium, so we don't use Primary email addresses, but I'd like to see our email addresses showing in On the Go. I haven't found any mention of a setting that can be changed for this, so guessing it might not be possible...

Thanks,

Alison

  • Hi, Alison,

We're also a consortium here in Kalamazoo, and we haven't found a great answer for this (although I don't have a lot of "On-The-Go" users just yet, either.) Could you possibly use Plan Notes to see the control-grouped email address? I can't think of a way to just display it there without having to ADD it there (as well as in the Contact Details) but depending on your use case and the number of OTG users, it might not be too much to maintain?

  • Hi Alison!

This may or may not be useful, depending on what you're trying to do with these emails when you're in On the Go, but:

If you have access to a report called Constituent Profile (in our system it's in the Development folder), you can run this in On the Go using either a list or constituent's ID. If you opt to only include the eaddresses "Section," you get a tidy little report of emails, email types, and if they're marked Primary or available for HTML and/or Marketing emails.

    Best,

    Darryl

  • Thanks Mindee. That's an interesting idea, but would probably be a bit high maintenance, unless I can find away to auto add them in bulk. My aim is to roll out On-the-Go to our Board Members, so they can look up contact details of people, however, I don't really know in advance who they want to see the details of.

  • Thanks Darryl. I had forgotten about that report- that's a good way to access the email address (I will make use of that method myself!). However, I think it might be asking a little too much of our Board Members, who I'm aiming to roll this out to. They aren't Tessitura users, so I think having to run a report, isn't ideal, especially when it isn't searchable by name, only const ID. However, I will have a play...

I find it odd that the phone numbers pull through by type or control group, yet emails don't!
