We're in the planning phase of implementing P2PE in our environment. We're on v15.0 now but we'll be on v15.1 when we go LIVE with P2PE. Our gateway is Payment Express.
Payment Express has recommended that we use IPP350's in a "Locked Down" configuration. They say that in "locked down" mode we can only use the keypad to enter CC info. We're going to need a lot of these devices and we just want to make sure this is the only option. We already have IPP350's here that are used for EMV transactions and since the units will look identical, keeping track of which ones are locked down or not will be a challenge.
Is anybody else set up for P2PE with Payment Express using IPP350's? And how do you find keeping track of and managing these devices?
Is anybody else set up for P2PE with Payment Express and using some other keypad device for entering CC info? Payment Express hasn't offered any alternative device. I find it strange that there's not a specific keypad only device available that doesn't have Swipe or EMV.
The only problem other than managing which ones are locked down and which ones aren't is the size of the IPP350 units. We're going to have to put one on every desk of every person who potentially may have to take a MOTO card charge and it would be great if there were a smaller, more compact alternative.
