v15 Tessitura w/ Windows Authentication in Self-hosted Environment on Shared Computer - HOW?!

Hey hey,

We are a self-hosted environment currently running on v15.0.4 with Windows Authentication enabled. Our Conference Room is setup as it's own user and we are having login issues when attempting to login with our Tessitura username and password. To circumvent this, I've been logging into one of our servers and using Windows Authentication there, but very few people have access to our servers. Any thoughts as to how I can work around this issue? I had thought of creating an account for the Conference Room that's associated with all user groups, but then anyone could log into any user group - not really a viable option.

Separate question - if in a remote session, has anyone have problems with Tessitura not going back to the login screen whenever attempting to "Relogin" into a different user group? I was trying to demo something the other day and it kept automatically connecting me to my default security group.

Any guidance on this would be most helpful, thank you!

  • Hi Emily,

While the Tessitura Application can use either a Windows Account or a traditional Tessitura login to access the application (by checking or unchecking the Use Windows Authentication box on the login screen), a single Tessitura User account will either use Windows Authentication or not.

When a Tessitura User account has an Active Directory Username added in Tessitura Security the SQL Database Login information is deleted and the account can only be used with Windows Authentication.

With the setup you describe you would want to either log into your Conference Room computer with your specific Windows Account to then log into Tessitura, or you would need a second Tessitura User account that is not tied to a Windows Account and uses the traditional Tessitura login.

As for what you are seeing trying to relogin and use a different user group, I have not heard of this before and have opened a TASK ticket so we can investigate this for you.

    Thanks,

    Boann
