Good afternoon,
We are thinking about moving our concessions to TRBO come September and the v15.1 release (hello, cash payments!). I have an idea of which I don't know if it's even possible. I would LOVE your thoughts as to how the following could/would be setup:
I would like to create a barcode on either a custom ticket header and/or a membership card that simply loads a constituent ID into TRBO. Through pricing rules and/or offers, our member discounts would automatically be applied to the price types/items by way of constituency. A few questions for the Tessitura interwebs:
I would love to hear from anyone who's done something similar and/or knows more about this than I do (that probably includes most of you).
THANK YOU!
Hi Emily,
AWMM uses the constituent ID printed as a barcode on a card as a way to fast track entry for our local residents. If a resident has signed up to our loyalty programme they get a card with a pre-printed constituent ID on it, which they can then use to prove residency when visiting the museum. Each time they visit the card is scanned to bring up the constituent record which we then sell an admission ticket to. We do this using both TRBO and Desktop units with barcode scanners. Most of AWMMs admission is sold anonymously, so by providing the cards the FOH team are able to keep processing without slowing to search.
