Citrix

I don't imagine there's much to be done, but has RAMP received any kind of update or notification from Citrix?  Is there any kind of proactive thing we should be doing?  Should RAMP force a password reset for all users?

  • The Tessitura Citrix infrastructure, data, and components are secure and not impacted by this incident.  Your user data and passwords are secure.  Citrix did announce a breach of their corporate network late last week.  Tessitura Network hosts a standalone instance of Citrix that is not connected in any way to the Citrix corporate network.  If your organization has a relationship with Citrix outside of the Tessitura instance we do recommend contacting Citrix directly to evaluate impact to your other systems.

  • In a related matter, what version of Citrix should we all be using?

There will be a change to the way it communicates on March 15, 2019 (this Friday!).

    Deprecation of TLS versions

To improve security, Citrix is strengthening our TLS IT standards. As of March 15, 2019, we will be blocking any communication over TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Only connections using TLS 1.2 will be permitted.

    How this impacts you

If you are using the latest versions of Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace app as listed below, no action is required. If you are using an older version, you are required to upgrade to the latest version of Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace app by March 15, 2019.

    What to do

Upgrade to the following versions of Citrix Receiver or to Citrix Workspace app:

    • Citrix Receiver for Windows 4.12.100 or later
    • Citrix Receiver for Mac 12.0 or later
    • Citrix Receiver for Linux 13.2 or later
    • Citrix Receiver for Android 3.7 or later
    • Citrix Receiver for iOS 7.0 or later
    • Citrix Workspace app (all operating systems) 1808 or later

Citrix Receiver becomes Citrix Workspace app

Beginning August 2018, Citrix Receiver has been replaced by Citrix Workspace app. New features and enhancements will be released for Citrix Workspace app.

Citrix Workspace app is a new client from Citrix that works similar to Citrix Receiver and is fully backward-compatible with your organization’s Citrix infrastructure. Citrix Workspace app provides the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver, as well as new capabilities based on your organization’s Citrix deployment.

Citrix Workspace app is built on Citrix Receiver technology, and is fully backward compatible with all Citrix solutions....

  • Neil,

4.2, or later should be the versions you are using (displayed as v14.x or v18.x depending on the version you have).  We only have 4 users in the environment that are on an earlier version and we reaching out to them directly so if you haven't gotten a call or ticket from us by the end of the day you should be in good shape.
