I've looked through the documentation and can't seem to find anything on how to enter a non-US formatted phone number when the constituent's address is a US address. Does anyone know how to do this or is it just not possible?
Thanks,
Sara
Must it be attached to the address, or can it be separate?
Sara,
I believe that phone numbers are formatted according to the settings in TR_COUNTRY although I believe if you add a phone number NOT attached to an address record (so not Phone1, Phone2 or Fax), the formatting is not enforced.

Everything I've tried, whether attached to the address or separate, keeps enforcing the formatting. Perhaps I'll put in a RAMP ticket to see if there's a setting I missed somewhere. Thanks guys!
I know this post is over 5 years old, but for others who stumble across this - I have found if you add an address with the county you need, it will then allow you to type in the full phone number as long as the phone is connected to thar address in the contact details tab. However, I don't know how to do it without connecting it to the address.
NB/ This changes in v16 (thankfully)
Three phone fields are attached to postal addresses (Phone 1, Phone 2, and Fax). They have Mask formats that are set in TR_COUNTRY. They sit in the top right on the v15 General tab.
You can set others in TR_PHONE_TYPE like mobile. They sit below on the general tab and as they are not connected to any address (or therefore country) perse, they don't come with an edit mask of their own but just go along with whatever the countries primary address (country) happens to be.
