Artifax (or other event management system) Integration

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone out there integrates their event management system with Tessitura?

If so, can you let us know some of the pros and cons you experience?

Our Programming team is looking to the future and thinking integration might be a good idea.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers,

  • Thanks so much Elizabeth and Catherine, your responses are fantastic and provide exactly the information I was looking for.  My colleagues were thinking it would be great to use to build events in Artifax and send them through to Tessitura, but that doesn't sound like a great idea.  At my previous job we did this with EBMS, until it was wound back and the systems no longer integrated at all (to my knowledge).  Thanks for taking the time, I really appreciate it. Cheers Bec.

  • Hi Bec,

The Museum has used Artifax and Tessitura since 2011 and we have relied on the performance integration part of the link from the get go. This is due the the number of performances that we have to build in order to operate. We have multiple daily performances that take place up to 4 times per day. All performances for us start within Artifax and are sent to Tessitura through the link to a template relevant to the performance. I can see that this would seem like duplication of effort if the volume of the performances wasn't high, but if it is a repeating performance then I think you'd still find benefit in utilizing the link.

The link has been reliable here & we have two different links existing - one in the prod environment and one for test.

The teams that operate in Artifax, rather than Tessitura, do find it handy to be able to reference the ticket sales data from within Artifax. I know that scheduled reporting helps with this also but they do like to be able to self help if watching a particular performance.

    Good luck with your research!
