TN.com Timeout

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that TN.com is timing out more often now? There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes it's 15 minutes. Sometimes it's an hour. We've been noticing this happening in both IE and Chrome. It will also affect TASK (Footprints) in that I'll be typing up a TASK ticket, click submit, and I get an error message. I'll click back on the TN.com tab and I'm logged out.

I just wanted to see if any other organizations have noticed this recently or if it's just me.

  • Hi everyone, Chris and I have been trying to figure out what's causing this for a couple of weeks with some difficulty, and I haven't heard any other reports of short timeouts on tessituranetwork.com (the tessituranetwork.com login is set to time out after 8 hours), so I'm definitely curious if anyone else has experienced this.

    Thanks,

  • I can attest to having short session timeouts on tessituranetwork.com -- the new site and, if memory serves, the old site.  I've never been able to stay logged in more than about 20 minutes.  This also impacts RSS feed usability, since they appear to require an authenticated session to load in any ready that I've tried.  In terms of browser, I usually have about four different browsers open (IE 11, Firefox, Chrome, and Firefox Developer) -- the timeouts have been consistent across all.  I leave tabs open and rarely close browsers (my life is in tabs).  O/S is Windows 10 running the latest public release.  Browsers are all up-to-date as well.

  • Thanks for the information, Daniel. Do you also have TASK open a lot/all of the time? What is your experience on a mobile device or away from your work network and/or machine?

  • My kingdom for a 6-hour (or longer!) session timeout! Just curious, what do you use for RSS reading? I have a feed aggregator that can update the feeds and get the published article content, but if I want to click through and view the full thread I need to login. It's at least nice enough to leave my session intact until I leave the app.
