After a couple years of being on tessitura we are fully fleshing out our System Administrator position. We currently have a box office supervisor who is serving as system administrator doing but we are looking to make sure she is fully dedicated to the position next season
To be clear we are on RAMP, part time SEO and Web admin. We also have 3rd party IT company for computer set up, etc. - so this is not a deep IT position. Rather this is about making sure we have someone who ensures we have Tessitura set up in the most optimal way for our organization and oversees upgrades, etc. The job is focused on best practices for data, crss, list pulls, reports so that we can do true analysis of the data that tessitura gives us. There will be some configuration (i.e. learning more at SQL to do some customization of reports). There is a good about of communication and supervision skills as she'll be teaching box office staff best practices and teach staff in other departments how to truly get the most of tessitura.
I'd appreciate:
1) job descriptions from organizations that have a similar set up - we want to make sure we aren't overlooking any key aspects of the job
2) if your org created this position any tips on how to make the transition smooth
