Hello,
I received an Infomaker custom utility report from another organization and looking to add it into our system. I am doing this within Test since I am by no means a database guru. I understand where to upload the sql file as well as the xml file. However, I am stumped where to upload the pbl file.
I THINK I see the location of where I need to add to the existing pbl file. I have access to filemover and see where the Local Library List file is (\\kriostess\pub\NYUN\LIVE\User Reports\NYUN_Custom.pbl), but do not know how to add the file to the existing one (NYUN_Custom) (if that is what I even need to do). Does anyone have any simple fixes for me to get this report up and running? Aka where do I upload the PBL file?
I do not have an in house database person and our funds are limited so hoping to complete this task on my own with some pf your guidance! I appreciate any help or insight.
Thanks,
Joe
A less elegant way of doing it is using the fact that you can reference multiple PBLs for Custom Reports.
Hope that helps
Mark
Thanks Mark. I added the additional file path into the table and it looks like this "\\kriostess\pub\NYUN\TEST\User Reports\NYUN_Custom.pbl, \\kriostess\pub\NYUN\TEST\User Reports\ld_update_schedule_email.pbl" Does it matter if there is a space? As reference, this is the error I am receiving: www.screencast.com/.../sgy3dVuerGO
Joe, I think you need to included the \\kriostess\pub\NYUN\TEST in the name of the new report you added to the library. That is if that is the folder you copied it to.
Thanks Terry. But I am still confused about where I am copying the file to. I understand uploading the pbl file into file mover and I see the file within Infomaker. I am lost with where to copy it to. Based on your message, once I copy it, I understand that it should include the full path. I feel that I am missing something very simple. Thanks everyone.

Unless I'm missing something, once it's in the right folder in File Mover there shouldn't be any copying left to be done.
Joe,
Go the file in InfoMaker, right click select copy then look for you custom PBL file in the drop down, which I am guessing is \\kriostess\pub\NYUN\TEST\User Reports\NYUN_Custom.pbl. Copy it to there. Then you can remove the single one from your T_Default Library.
If you want help with it give me a call at 989-6315930 x1210
Gawain, You are correct but then it would be its own library. I kind of like to having as few libraries as possiible so I would copy it to my custom PBL. Otherwise you have to make sure to change libraries when working on the one report.
Thank you all for you help (Especially Terry for the phone call). The issue was the naming of the report. It referenced the file name that included ".pbl" and the file didn't actually have the extra characters. Lesson learned to match the exact file names!
