We have some historical single ticket data that didn't make it into Tess as part of our initial data migration when we went live a few years back. I know how to import actual orders, but is it possible to import order-less ticket history using the utility? Our data migration was done by JCA, so I don't know how they did it, and searching the forums & documentation has left me empty-handed. The main problem I see re: using the utility is the absence of performance codes, as the show in question was sold through our previous database. I see in the ticket history table that our historical data all has a perf_no of -1, but it doesn't seem to me that that would translate within the constraints of the utility. I want to see if this is something I can do myself before I turn to support for help. Any thoughts?
You can certainly import data directly to T_TICKET_HISTORY without creating orders or performances to back it up, but not through the Order Import utility. SQL Server has a built-in data import wizard feature, but it might be a little tricky for you to access it, being a RAMP user. It might be easiest for us to assist you with it. Depending on how well you can prepare the data beforehand, it'd be a relatively contained and small consulting project. You can open a TASK ticket or contact consulting@tessituranetwork.com to get that ball rolling if you like.
