Adding field in custom tab

Howdy folks,

This seems so simple but I am missing something. I need to add check date as a field on the custom tab in contributions. I added the info the t_keyword the detail_tbl=t_contribution, detail col !.custom_1, category= contribution, use for list contribution. However when I go to enter a contribution and I click on the custom tab there is no field there for me to enter the check date.

Where am I going wrong?

    Did you fill in the custom_id field with '1'?  I think that might be what you are missing.
