We've been creating our own reporting procedures in SSMS... finally have enough of them we decided to make the leap to creating Tessitura reports.
Unfortunately, without a lot of expertise with on staff we're having issues even getting started.
We're on RAMP running V14 and have SSDT 2015.
Found the 2 webinars Creating an InfoMaker Report in SSRS and Leveraging SSRS, but quickly realized we needed even more basic info before getting started.
Found this:
https://www.tessituranetwork.com/knowledgebase/Default.htm#RAMP/SSRS_Access_in_RAMP.htm
Tried following the steps:
Access the SSRS Project1. Click on the link for Business Intelligence Design Studio (BIDS) located on your RAMP User desktop.2. If this is the first time opening the solution, go to File>Open>Project/Solution, and then browse to:L:\User Reports\SSRS Projects\Tessitura_Custom\Tessitura_Custom.sln
and then this message came up when we tried opening the project as recommended:
One-way upgrade
Visual Studio will automatically make functional changes to the following projects in order to open them. You will not be able to open these projects in the version of Visual Studio in which they were originally created. - Tessitura_Custom, "L:\User Reports\SSRS Projects\Tessitura_Custom\Tessitura_Custom.sln"
No changes requiredThese projects can be opened in Visual Studio 2015, Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2012, and Visual Studio 2010 SP1 without changing them. - Tessitura_Custom, "L:\User Reports\SSRS Projects\Tessitura_Custom\Tessitura_Custom\Tessitura_Custom.rptproj"
So we canceled and starting sobbing quietly at our desks. (Mostly kidding.)
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi Michael,
If you don't mind opening a TASK ticket, the Hosting Services team would be happy to have a look at this with you and get you on your way.
